INGREDIENTS:-
Chopped potatoes-half kg
3 tomatoes-cubed
green chillies-as required
fennel seeds-1 table spoon
cumin seeds- 1 tea spoon
black seeds (kalongi)-1/2 tea spoon
salt-1 tea spoon
red chilli powder-1 table spoon
turmeric powder-1/4 tea spoon
cooking oil-one large spoon
water -1 glass,tamarind pulp 1 table spoon
METHOD:-
heat oil in a pan on medium flame.add cumin seed ,fry for a few seconds ,add potato cubes ,fry for a few seconds,add other dry ingredient and stirr. add tomatoes and green chillies and water.cover the lid and cook on slow flame about 20-30 minutes till potatoes and tomatoes get tender ,add tamarind pulp in the end and cook for a minute.serve with hot chapaties or poories.
